Assistant Director of Operations at SATCo

Under the general supervision and leadership from the Director of Operations, this position provides direct assistance with planning, directing, and coordinating fixed-route public transit services in the Greater Springfield and Holyoke areas in conjunction with the policies and procedures of the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority; conducts daily activities in a manner that ensures maximum quality of, and timely delivery of services to public transit customers within designated communities; coordinates efficient day-to-day operations; assists with the day-to-day operational activities including work assignments, employee relations and labor relations; ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and PVTA's administrative oversight, within area of designated responsibility; assists with performing timely collection and reporting of data and maintaining all related documentation; and performs a wide variety of related administrative duties. This position requires occasional travel within the service area and availability during early mornings, evenings and weekends as special circumstances require.
